Floor Boar Laminate Cutter

Roberts Consolidated Industries is proud to offer the new FloorBoar Laminate Floor Cutter. This patented cutter does not produce any messy airborne dust and uses no electricity so it is perfect for cutting laminate in any area including new construction. The FloorBoar is lightweight, portable and can be used right in the same room you are installing the flooring in. There is no need to make time consuming trips outside to cut your flooring. The FloorBoar works with all brands and can cut planks up to 12mm thick to any length or angle, including full length cuts. This versatile cutter can even cut laminate planks that come with the padding already attached. The FloorBoar features a unique easy crank and cut design with a ratchet action handle that continuously feeds planks into the dual blades. The extended handle provides increased leverage to make it easier to cut through thicker planks and planks with pre-attached padding.

While the table saw is the traditional way to cut laminate, the FloorBoar requires no electricity and creates no dust making it a better indoor alternative.

and you’re going to cart a table saw to a job are you?

@qepcoinc This floor boar thing also makes TERRIBLE cuts! It doesn’t really cut actually, it “chews”. I’ve been trying to use one today and on every 3-4 cuts I do it chips some of the laminate layer off the board far enough that many of the boards became unusable .. others fortunately I can reuse when I need smaller pieces.

Although the cut is not as smooth as a typical table saw cut, it is ideal for a floating floor installation. When installed properly, all Floor Boar cuts will be placed against the wall and covered by the decorative molding (baseboard or quarter round) used to hide the necessary expansion gap along the floor perimeter.

And I don’t know about you but when I used mine I about got repetitive motion syndrome in my arm from “ratchet, ratchet, ratchet!!!” And it TOTALLY made a mess (I agree) There’s plenty of other shears out there that will cut cleaner and save you HUGE time not having to hike your product outside to your saw and back and forth. I rented one at Depot called a magnum shear and it was SOOOO much better!. Only thing was corners but the boar didn’t go a good enough job anyway. Junk!
